Former AGA executive joins NHL as consultant
Sara Sloane, former AGA executive, has been hired as a consultant by the National Hockey League (NHL) to advice on sports betting policies.
US.- Former Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Gaming Association (AGA), Sara Slane, will be acting as a sports betting consultant for the National Hockey League (NHL). Slane will advise NHL teams on sports betting policies.
Sara Slane is now head of her own company, Slane Advisory. The NHL has brought in the former AGA executive as a consultant to offer help. She will also advise on how to build new partnerships with companies from the sports betting market. Slane will also work with companies for a better understanding of gaming legislation.
NHL CBO Keith Wachtel said: “Our new partnership with Slane Advisory is another example of our commitment to working collaboratively with the sports betting industry and developing a best-in-class approach to partnerships. We need someone who understands the business and can help us and our teams in creating partnerships and evaluating space.”
“Sports betting is the new frontier for the industry. Commissioner Bettman has understood the value of partnership since sports betting became legal,” said Slane, according to CGC Gaming Reports. “I look forward to executing additional deals that benefit both industries and maximise this once in a lifetime opportunity. I am happy to work with the NHL and drive additional gaming partnerships to the League and its clubs.”
