Sobranie Casino held its grand opening
The casino located in the Yantarnaya gambling zone officially opened its doors to the public.
Russia.- Sobranie Casino, the newest Russian casino in the gaming hub of Yantarnaya officially held its grand opening this weekend. Yantamaya is one of the five gaming cities in Russia, which is now in the process of finding another one.
Uni Management, the company behind Sobranie Casino, said that the facility is one of the largest casinos in Europe. In its 18.000 square meters, Sobranie Casino features 350 slot machines along with 14 gaming tables, even though according to its officials there are plans to increase the number to 1000 slot machines and 40 gaming tables. Furthermore, the company is planning on opening a VIP complex near the main building sometime during the third quarter of this year.
The Russian casino held a soft opening during the last week of 2016, where players were able to enjoy the casino 24 hours a day under a technical mode until the decoration was completed. Yantarnaya is set to be one of the biggest and newest Russian gambling hubs, along with Sochi, by 2029. The city expects the investment of a total of US$725 million on the construction of “15 casinos, 21 hotels, a water park, a theatre, stadiums, concert halls, SPA salons and shops.”
