Slovenia: HIT closes casinos until 20 March
The casino operator shuts the doors at all of its casino properties until at least 20 March to halt the spread of Coronavirus.
Slovenia.- Slovenia’s leading gaming company, HIT, has announced the closure of all of its casinos in the western region of Goriška until 20 March as part of efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
The operator took the decision due to the escalating crisis in Italy, its primary market. Italy is in lockdown with the majority of its population in self-quarantine as the deadly virus worsens.
The Head of the World Health Organisation warned the threat of a global Coronavirus pandemic was now “very real” as the virus continues to spread rapidly around the world.
More than 3,800 people have died worldwide from Coronavirus and over 110,000 infections have been recorded, according to the WHO.
