Slots revenue decline in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania experienced a 2,2 percent decline in slot machine revenue during the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board revealed that the state went through a 2,2 percent fall in slot machine revenue when comparing the 2016-2017 fiscal year to the previous one. The results were published by the Board in its website.

The numbers indicate that slot machine revenue was down almost every month of the year: 10 of the 12 months experienced bad results. During the last fiscal year the state collected US$2.33 billion in revenue, down from the US$2.38 billion recorded in the 2015-2016 period. The tax revenue that Pennsylvania reported through slot machines amounted US$1.2 billion. The gaming control board also highlighted that the numbers are part of just slot machines and not total gaming revenue, which means that table games are not included.

The state’s other gambling results are set to be released later this month since the board is finishing the 2016-2017 revenue report. In just eleven years, revenue from slot machines has reached US$22.4 billion, with US$12.1 billion in taxes.

Total casino monthly revenue for June reaches US$188 million, one million less than June 2016, when the state featured approximately 1k slot machines more than this year.
