SJM asks Macau govt for more tables
The company is seeking between 300 and 500 new tables for its Grand Lisboa Palace.
Macau.- Ambrose So Shu Fai, SJM Holdings’ vice chairman and chief executive, said that the company is set to ask the government for 300 to 500 new gaming tables for its Cotai project, Grand Lisboa Palace.
The executive said that the company hopes to finish the Grand Lisboa Palace project by next year, so that in the first half of the year, SJM has sufficient conditions to apply for the operating permit for the facility from the Macau government.
The CEO also said that the company is optimistic in regards to gross gaming revenue in Macau for 2019 and that he considers that better transport infrastructure will help improve the financial results.
While the firm is seeking the new tables, So added that SJM is set to relocate existing machines from other Macau facilities to Grand Lisboa Palace, but did not specify how many.
