Robert Civill: “Gamanza is ready for the challenge of any regulated market”
Robert Civill, Chief Commercial Officer at Gamanza spoke with Focus Gaming News previous to a new edition of ICE London that will return after a two-year hiatus.
Exclusive interview.- The 2022 edition of ICE London is getting closer and Gamanza will be there for the second time.
Robert Civill, Chief Commercial Officer, spoke with Focus Gaming News about this new participation in one of the most important events of the industry and what they are preparing for this 2022 edition.
Gamanza will exhibit at ICE London 2022. What are your expectations and what memories do you have of the last edition?
I’m expecting a great atmosphere and for everyone to be in high spirits! Two years is a long time in this industry and so much has happened since the last edition. We have some newly regulated markets and significant regime changes, the evolving landscape in the US and all the talk of how wild it is right now, and the adoption and popularity of emerging technologies and verticals from 2019/20 has grown rapidly. I can imagine all of these topics will be in the spotlight at ICE 2022.
The 2020 edition was Gamanza’s first appearance at ICE since launching our first customer live in Switzerland and at that time it was the only operator we had live. It was also my first time organizing a stand! I remember the relief at having pulled it off, but also a real sense of pride and excitement about what was to come for Gamanza – And the last two years have not disappointed.
“Gamanza is now live with 6 operators in Switzerland that utilize our turn-key platform and CRM solution.”
Robert Civill, Chief Commercial Officer at Gamanza.
How are you preparing for ICE London 2022 and what can attendees expect to see from Gamanza?
Well, the aim was to create a nice open and comfortable space, which I think we nailed! You can expect a warm and friendly atmosphere to go with that, so all attendees are welcome to stop by, take a drink and sample some Swiss chocolate!
We will of course be showcasing the Platform and CRM, along with a preview of our revamped Gamification system. The GaminGenius™ product suite is mighty impressive, underpinned by the fact the design and UI of the back office is so slick!
Our message is clear – Following our success story in Switzerland, Gamanza is ready for the challenge of any regulated market! New brands and ventures, land-based casinos and arcade groups or perhaps established operators looking for a new strategic partner for locally regulated markets, should have a chat with us!
Gamanza kicked off the year with the news that Casino Barrière Montreux has launched its online brand on Gamanza’s GaminGenius™ platform, what does this deal mean to you, and can you tell us more about the platform?
We’re immensely proud to be working with such a reputable organisation as Groupe Barrière, it’s a testament to how compelling and impressive our story has been! In fact, we launched the new online casino brands of three land-based casinos in Switzerland last year, followed by our first migration project in February of this year.
“It’s been a manic time, but we’re incredibly proud to arrive at this point and continue supporting our clients to grow in this exciting market.”
Robert Civill, Chief Commercial Officer at Gamanza.
The platform is really accelerating now. The GaminGenius™ software suite consists of the PAMS platform with back office and compliance framework, a proprietary payment gateway, regulatory data vault and real-time CRM and Gamification system.
We have an ambitious roadmap for 2022, which is heavily focused on the GaminGenius™ Player Engagement System, adding more advanced use of data and AI for predictive modelling and personalisation.
What is next for Gamanza as a company – Any new projects on the horizon? What are your longer-term ambitions for the business?
We’re just kicking off a major project for the setup, licensing and launch of a brand-new venture in Germany that will operate under the newly established “Virtual Slots” license regime. We’re very much enthused by the regulation of the German market, despite the complex and strict conditions that have created such a stir. It presents a challenge that we’re actually really excited about and one that our GaminGenius™ software was built for!
This means we’re working on the needed adaptations and specific requirements of the new regulations, including our proprietary data vault product, or the “safe server” as it’s called in the technical guidelines. This regulatory reporting system is another USP for Gamanza, not only in Germany but also in several other jurisdictions where such a system is required (such as Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and Colombia).
We’re moving towards offering the safe server as a standalone solution for operators in Germany, which will present a straightforward and cost-effective alternative for the market. Furthermore, we are undergoing a similar effort to “productify” the GaminGenius™ Player Engagement System as a standalone offering. This will provide operators with a powerful combination of the real-time CRM, personalization and modelling capabilities and our customizable gamification software! …So there is plenty to see on the Gamanza stand at ICE! N5 – 150.
