Ohio casinos report good October
The local regulator revealed that all four casinos in the state showed higher revenues than last year.
US.- The Ohio Casino Control Commission released the monthly report that indicate that statewide revenue was US$66.5 million, a 6.2 percent increase when compared to the same period in 2016.
Jack Cleveland Casino’s revenue for October reached US$16.9 million, a 10.4 percent increase from last year when it only collected US$15.3 million. Jack Thistledown Racino totaled US$9.5 million in revenue, a stable comparison to 2016’s results, according to the Ohio Lottery Commission’s report. Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park, the direct competition, reported a good month as it collected US$19.6 million, approximately a million more than October 2016.
Statewide revenue for the seven racinos was US$78.2 million, a 4.8 percent rise from 2016. Officials from casino and racinos believe that year-on-year comparisons are usually more effective when considering the performance of the state facilities rather than comparing one month over the next one.
In September, the regulator revealed that casino’s revenue was US$615 million, whilst year-to-date numbers show a statewide 1.5 percent increase to US$9.1 million, up from the US$606 million collected in the same month last year.
