NY casino improves working rate

New York and Pennsylvania working rate will improve with new casino development.

US.- Resorts World Catskills could become next gaming salon in New York State, as operators plan to open the facility by 2018. As revealed by Gaming Commission’s Acting Executive Director Ron Ochrym, the fourth upstate casino would be located at Hudson Valley in New York State’s city of Albany and is expected to grant 1,4000 jobs.

According to authorities, job positions would be covered by both New York State and Pennsylvania residents. Operators are holding a job fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at 547 Route 940 in Kidder Township, Carbon County.

“We expect our job fair for experienced table game dealers is going to be very successful,” said Degliomini, noting he expects to see employees from Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, Mount Airy Casino Resort and Mohegan Sun Pocono at the event. Resorts World Catskills expects to have a total of 600 table game dealers.

New York’s next casino would be a US$1.2 billion Resorts World gaming and touristic attraction for international and local visitors. Operators Empire Resorts Incorporated have previously revealed that the casino would be named Montreign Resort Casino, but the plans were changed during the financing process.

The US$1 billion casino resort is being built in the Sullivan County town of Thompson in the Catskills. The complex will feature a 80,000-sq. ft casino, 390 hotel rooms and suites, resort amenities, casual and gourmet restaurants, spa and salon, conference and meeting rooms and banquet facilities. Montreign Resort Casino is scheduled to open to the public in 2018.
