NJ names vice chair to casino commission

The local regulator nominated and appointed Alisa Cooper as vice chair for 2019.

US.- The New Jersey Casino Control Commission has appointed Alisa Cooper as vice chair for 2019. The Atlantic City native was nominated during the commission’s meeting on Wednesday, and after her nomination was confirmed by the three-member board.

The new vice chair was nominated by Chairman James Plousis, a move that was seconded by Commissioner Sharon Harrington. Cooper said during the meeting that she was thrilled that she was able to continue serving to the city and the industry.

“I’m very honored to be a commissioner here at the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and even more honored today to be nominated for the vice chairmanship,” said Cooper. “I love Atlantic City, love the area. I was born and raised in this town and I’m very proud to be commissioner.”
