Louisiana Casino revenue up 9% in January

Louisiana gambling revenues reached $235.8m in January.

US.- Louisiana casinos and racinos ended January with gaming revenue up 9 per cent compared to December 2020.

Racinos saw revenue climb 15.7 per cent month-on-month from $23.5m to $27.1m.

Video poker revenue reached $61.26m. The state’s 12,000-plus video terminals have seen a 17.6 per cent increase in revenue year-on-year.

Only land-based Harrah’s New Orleans Casino saw a decline in revenues, from $16.51m in December to $14.85m in January, due to Covid-19 pandemic and hurricanes impact.

The state of Louisiana has not legalised sports betting yet but 55 out of 64 parishes have voted in favour.
