KKCG Group appoints Pavel Turek to lead marketing and CSR

The Czech Republic.- KKCG Group has appointed Pavel Turek as chief officer of CSR and brand. He will lead marketing and corporate social responsibility for both KKCG and its lottery operator Sazka Group. KKCG highlighted Turek’s experience in sports marketing and in the “monetisation of new areas of sport”.

Turek has 25 years experience in the motorsports sector, including 17 seasons with Formula One. He was the director of sports marketing at PR firm Coulthard, Doohan, Turek & Partners, and commercial director of the Red Bull Air Race between 2013 and 2018. Since 2019, has served as CEO of Automobilist.

He said: “My main goal will be to create a concept where global and local brands coexist. I will also assist in the creation of the company’s corporate social responsibility. I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to work in Karel Komárek’s ambitious team.”

KKCG is currently aiming to expand its international presence, with Sazka creating a new British-facing brand, Allwyn, to bid for the next licence to run the UK National Lottery.

KKCG founder Karel Komárek said: “I know Pavel as a creative and experienced manager. I believe that thanks to his knowledge in the field of sport, he can bring new ideas to our group which will advance the public perception of our brands.

“To do this, we will not only rely on marketing, but also our projects in the field of corporate social responsibility. We are placing greater emphasis on these types of projects in all countries in which we operate.”

Komárek is reported to be interested in launching an initial public offering (IPO) of KKCG in London.
