US.- Fubo Gaming, a subsidiary of sports live TV streaming platform FuboTV, has announced its support for the American Gaming Association (AGA) Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) this September. The goal of the initiative is to educate consumers on responsible sports betting, increase awareness of problem gambling, promote gaming literacy and elevate employee training.

Fubo Gaming is incorporating responsible gaming messages inspired by AGA’s “Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly” campaign across its social media channels and external-facing marketing assets. The company has also launched an internal campaign.

The firm will continue to engage employees with training and user education programmes and to provide tools, including self-exclusions and limits for players.

Scott Butera, president of Fubo Gaming, said: “Fubo Gaming is proud to join the AGA in celebrating Responsible Gaming Education Month to amplify the importance of responsible gaming. We firmly believe social responsibility contributes to the best player experience.

“As professionals in the emerging sports wagering industry, it’s our responsibility to take a proactive approach toward responsible gaming initiatives, not only in September but throughout the year, to ensure long-term sustainability.”

MGM Resorts and BetMGM will also participate in the American Gaming Association (AGA)‘s inaugural Responsible Gaming Education Month. MGM will focus on consumer education, community collaboration and enhanced employee training and will share responsible gaming information on social media channels.

Garrett Farnes, director of responsible gaming at MGM Resorts, said: “We are proud to participate in RGEM 2022 and to let it serve as an additional platform to promote player health, as well as to increase awareness in the communities where we operate.”

AGA updates responsible gaming guide

The American Gaming Association (AGA) launched Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) 2022 with the release of a new edition of its Responsible Gaming Statutes and Regulations Guide.

Updated for the first time since 2019, the guide is a centralised collection of the statutes and regulations addressing responsible gaming in the 34 states and the District of Columbia with commercial casinos, sports betting or igaming as of July 1.  Since the last guide was released, two new states have legalised land-based casino gaming, 16 states have legalised sports betting and two have legalised igaming.
