Frissora to lead AGA’s search team

The executive will be in charge of leading a team to find a replacement for a new head of the association.

US.- The American Gaming Association (AGA) has confirmed that Caesars Entertainment chief Mark Frissora will lead the search team to find a new head of the association. The new CEO will replace Geoff Freeman, expected to leave the association by the end of the month.

While Frissora will be the head of the team, representatives from MGM Resorts, Las Vegas Sands, and Greg Carlin of Rush Street Gaming and Trevor Croker of Aristocrat will also be in charge of finding a new executive. Firm Spencer Stuart will also provide executive recruitment support to the search team.

Freeman has been president and CEO of AGA since May 2013 and will leave to become president and CEO of the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association. Along with Frissora, Tim Wilmott, CEO of Penn National Gaming and chairman of the board, will help find a replacement. “The gaming industry is widely recognised as among the most popular of consumer entertainment experiences and we take seriously our role in providing this experience safely and responsibly,” he said late last month.
