The Hellenic Gaming Commission has awarded a new supplier licence, allowing ESA Gaming to launch in Greece.

Greece.- The Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP) has awarded a supplier licence to ESA Gaming, which supplies mobile gaming products, including its EasySwipe HTML5 mobile-first titles. I

t’s the latest supplier to gain a Greek licence after BGaming earlier this month.

Malta-based ESA Gaming has certifications in Portugal, Italy and Colombia and a supplier licence from the Malta Gaming Authority.

Chief executive Zorica Smallwood said: “Receiving our Greek licence is another exciting moment for us in our step towards our global expansion.

“The Greek market has huge potential and we’re eager to see how our titles are received by both operators and players. It is another important milestone for us this year as we’ve gone from strength to strength.”

The Hellenic Gaming Commission opened applications for its new licences in October last year following the introduction of legislation in October 2019.

SOFTSWISS, iSoftBet, Oryx and Yggdrasil have gained licences in the past year.

There are two types of supplier licence: one to offer online betting technology and another to offer online games of chance.

Greece has since announced a ban on advertising online slots, which also have a €2 per spin cap with a three-second spin minimum and a maximum €70,000 win on each round.
