Arkansas Gov says casinos can reopen from May 18
State’s three casinos to open later this month albeit in a limited capacity.
US.- The Governor of Arkansas has said that casinos can reopen in the state but within a limited capacity from May 18.
All casinos in Arkansas have been closed since mid-March to halt the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Texarkana, Gov. Asa Hutchinson told reporters of his plans to allow Arkansas’ three casinos to reopen in a safe environment.
“On May 18, we will be working to provide new guidance for the three gaming casinos in Arkansas so that they can renew limited operations.
“We’ve all worked hard with the industry. They have presented proposals as to how they can socially distance in that environment.
Hutchinson also announced that all casinos will be operating at a third of capacity upon reopening.
