AGA’s take on the numbers
Commenting on figures for March, the American Gaming Association (AGA) had forecast that April would see similar numbers and that GGR would continue to increase.
AGA senior VP Casey Clark said: “What we’re seeing in there is a lot of pent-up demand for people who want to get out there and enjoy entertainment options like gaming can provide.”
Earlier this year, AGA president Bill Miller predicted that the second half of 2021 could be a banner year for US casinos. He said: “People will be excited to travel, hungry for entertainment, and desperate to get out and have fun again.”
