Atlantic City experiences good Q3
The remaining seven casinos in Atlantic City reported double digit growth in gross operating profits.
US.- According to figures released by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) this week, Atlantic City’s seven remaining casinos experienced a double-digit growth for the fourth consecutive quarter during Q3 operations.
The seven facilities saw their profits rise by 17.6 percent during the third quarter. Those results include online gaming, whilst operating profits for the properties amounted US$252 million, significantly higher than the US$214.7 million totaled during the third quarter of 2016.
Chris Glaum, Bureau Chief of Financial Investigations for the DGE, said: “As shown in the third quarter financial report, the 7 casino hotel properties and 2 online casino licensees reported the highest industry year-to-date gross operating profit since 2009, when there were 11 casino hotel properties.”
Gross operating profits for the first nine months of the year are up approximately by 19.8 percent, and Glaum believes that it signifies the continued strengthening of the financial health of the Atlantic City casino gaming industry over the past few years.
