ATG extends Swedish Equestrian Federation sponsorship deal
The Swedish horseracing betting operator AB Trav och Galopp has extended its sponsorship arrangement for another four years.
Sweden.- AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) has extended its sponsorship of the Swedish Equestrian Federation for another four years. The new agreement will mean the operator has sponsored the sports federation for over half a century.
It will retain its focus on para-dressage, development and on ATG jumping series, the ATG Riders League.
Maria Guggenberger, sustainability manager at ATG, said: “We want to be involved in developing Swedish equestrian sports, and together with the Swedish Equestrian Federation we have found a good way forward. Therefore, we will continue to focus on para-dressage and equestrian development through ATG Talang.
“We have also ensured a continuation of the national jumping series ATG Riders League for the next four years.”
Camilla Sand, communications and marketing manager at the Swedish Equestrian Federation, said: “The long collaboration with ATG is something we are incredibly proud of. Together, we have successfully and long-term developed equestrian sports for almost five decades. We are of course very happy to continue that journey together.”
Last year, ATG stopped accepting registrations from non-Swedish players. After an internal review, it decided that the legal requirements involved too much administrative work to register the players and allocating their winnings.
ATG has also claimed that the funding for equestrian sports in Sweden is being eroded by the new competition it faces.
