Skycity Auckland returns to business as usual
As the government moves the city into level of alert 1, the hotel and casino will operate without Covid-19 restrictions.
New Zealand.- Skycity Auckland will go back to business as usual as of October 8, as the city joins the rest of the New Zealand in Level of alert 1, rather than 2.
The casino said in a release: “With Auckland moving to Covid-19 Alert Level 1 from 11.59pm Wednesday, October 7, our casino, the majority of our restaurants and our Sky Tower will once again all operate as usual.”
Auckland had entered a more restrictive stage of lockdown after a rise in Covid-19 cases with community transmission, while the rest of the country remained on Level 1.
Under Level of alert 2, access to SkyCity Auckland Casino was limited to Premier Rewards members only, and hotel guests could enter depending on availability at the time of their visit.
Skycity’s properties in Queenstown and Hamilton have been operating without restrictions since September 22.
