Macau may extend negative Covid-19 test validity for vaccinated visitors
The measure will apply for those who come from Guangdong province and have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
Macau.- Authorities continue to ease restrictions on travellers from Guangdong amid a decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases.
Now, authorities are considering extending the current 48-hour vailidity of negative Covid-19 tests, which was shortened due to a rise in Covid-19 cases in Guangdong.
However, Guangdong hasn’t registered a new local Covid-19 case for about a week, and Macau has started to ease restrictions with some cities from the neighbouring province.
However, despite a decline in new cases, Tai Wa Hou a clinical director of the Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre told Macau Post Daily that the Covid-19 outbreak in Guangdong “is still not completely over.”
He suggested it “would not be suitable to return to the previous relaxed Covid-19 measures for those travelling between Guangdong and Macau.”
