Yaamava’ casino celebrates resort opening
The venue in California has celebrated the official launch of its $760m expansion.
US.- The Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in California has celebrated the official opening of its $760m expansion with a ceremony hosted by citizens of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Tribe and invited guests. The tribe’s chairman Ken Ramirez, members of the business committee, and Yaamava’ Resort and Casino general manager Peter Arceo were present at the opening.
Ramirez said: “We look back seven generations of Santos Manuel, my great-great grandfather. I’m the fifth generation. My granddaughter is seven generations. The milestone he put in place seven generations ago, we’re here. He wanted to have a sustainable future for his tribe. This is part of his legacy.”
During the ceremony, there were performances by the San Manuel Bird Singers and Grammy Award-winning singer Miguel. A 3D light show was projected onto the new hotel tower.
The 17-story hotel includes 127 suites among its 432 guest rooms as well as a spa and pool area. The expansion began in July 2018 but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first phase of the development opened in August 2021, including a gaming space, new high-limit rooms, the Serrano Vista Café, three bars and new shops.
The final phase of the resort’s expansion will be a 2,800-seat entertainment venue, which is expected to open to the public early next year.
