Yaamava’ casino to open luxury resort on December 13
Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel has announced the official opening of its $760m expansion.
US.- The former San Manuel Casino, now Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in California will open its new hotel tower on December 13 following a $760m expansion. The opening ceremony will be for invited guests and tribal citizens.
The 17-story hotel includes 127 suites among its 432 guest rooms as well as a spa and pool area. The expansion began in July 2018 but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first phase of the development opened in August 2021, including a gaming space, new high-limit rooms, the Serrano Vista Café, three bars and new shops.
Among other changes is the new location of the Pines Modern Steakhouse, which moved from the casino’s second floor to the first floor, near the entrance to the hotel. The restaurant also has a new menu focusing on steaks and seafood.
The final phase of the resort’s expansion is a 2,800-seat entertainment venue that is expected to open to the public early next year.
San Manuel Band of Mission Indians chairman, Ken Ramirez, said: “As we watched Yaamava’ take shape over these last three years, the San Manuel community recognized we were building something special. We can’t wait for our valued casino guests and new visitors to experience all that Yaamava’ has to offer.”
Afsi Bird, VP of hotel operations, said: “In my thirty-plus years in the hotel industry, I have never been more excited to open a property than I am Yaamava’ Resort & Casino. With the guidance and support of the Tribe, we are building something truly unique that is rooted in exceptional service and dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests.”
