The UAE Lottery hosts Ramadan Iftar for 1,000 workers
The UAE Lottery partnered with SmartLife Foundation to host the initiative.
The UAE Lottery hosted a special Ramadan Iftar for 1,000 members of the blue-collar community, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement across the United Arab Emirates. The event celebrated the spirit of the holy month while recognising the contributions of workers who play a vital role in the country’s development.
Aligned with the UAE’s “Year of the Family” and the values associated with Ramadan, the initiative highlighted the lottery’s efforts to support national priorities and promote inclusivity. For many of the workers in attendance, many of whom spend the holy month far from their families, the shared meal offered a meaningful moment of connection and appreciation.
The event marked The UAE Lottery’s first Ramadan outreach initiative and was organised in partnership with SmartLife Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of blue-collar workers living in labour accommodations across the country. Through the collaboration, the organisations aimed to create a welcoming environment where workers could break their fast together during Ramadan.
Suzan Kazzi, Associate Director of CSR at Momentum, said: “Many of the individuals we are hosting for this Iftar spend this holy month far from their families while working hard to build a better future for their loved ones. Sharing a meal together is a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation and ensure they feel valued, supported, and part of a larger community.”
Alongside its community initiatives, The UAE Lottery continues to expand its gaming portfolio. Its flagship weekly draw, Lucky Day, offers prizes of up to AED30m (US$8.2m), while additional products such as scratch cards and daily draws provide players with more opportunities to participate. The organisation says these initiatives reflect its broader ambition to turn play into positive impact while supporting local communities.
