Wynn Resorts offers remote work option to UAE staff
As geopolitical risks rise across the Gulf region, the casino operator says employees tied to its Wynn Al Marjan Island project can work remotely from abroad if their embassies advise them to leave the country.
Wynn Resorts has introduced contingency measures for employees working on its flagship integrated resort project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offering staff the option to work remotely from abroad amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
The US-based casino operator confirmed that employees associated with the under-construction Wynn Al Marjan Island development in Ras Al Khaimah may relocate and continue working remotely if their home embassies advise them to leave the country.
The move comes as regional security concerns have intensified following hostilities involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Governments, including the United States, have urged their citizens in several Middle Eastern countries to depart immediately due to “severe, escalating safety risks.”
In addition to remote work options, Wynn Resorts said it has arranged additional housing solutions to help employees and their families feel more secure during the current situation. The company added that it will not disclose details regarding housing or travel arrangements for security reasons. Wynn also said it is closely monitoring developments in the region and has contingency plans in place to protect staff if the situation deteriorates further.
