Sue Yoxall has stepped down as executive director of the gaming engineering studio after two decades.

UK.- Sue Yoxall has stepped down as executive director of mkodo, the London-based gaming engineering studio she co-founded with managing director Stuart Godfree in 2001.

She said she had completed her “20-year journey with mkodo” and would no longer be involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

Yoxall and Godfree were new to the gaming sector when they launched mkodo to help operators launch and develop mobile products, including native apps, responsive websites and single-page applications.

They went on to work with clients such as Rank Group‘s Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo, Danske Spil, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC).

The international commercial printing conglomerate Pollard Banknote agreed to acquire all mkodo assets and IPs for CAD $14 million (£8m) in 2020.

Yoxall said she now planned to spend her time “assisting innovative business ventures and broader projects that benefit society”.

She said: “Stuart Godfree and I set up mkodo with the aim to build a business that gave a fair and stimulating environment to team members, a high-quality impactful product to the market, and a rewarding experience to shareholders. This we achieved and more.

“Today marks the end of my last week at mkodo. Thank you to all mkodians old and new who joined the mkodo journey, and to everyone that has supported us along the way.”
