The biggest casino to be featured in Vancouver will open its doors on September 29.
Canada.- Nevada-based Paragon Gaming revealed that the new Parq Vancouver casino hotel will host its opening on September 29. The US$700 million project will become the newest and largest casino in Vancouver, Canada.
The casino that was initially supposed to open its doors to the public in 2016 will feature a 72.000 square foot gaming floor, double in size of the Edgewater Casino across the street, which will officially shut down operations earlier that week. Paragon will transfer Edgewater’s gaming license to Parq after several hurdles that included politicians.
The gaming facility will also offer 1500 slot machines and 150 gaming tables, up from the 600 slots and 75 tables offered at Edgewater. Moreover Parq will have a specialised poker room and a high-limits slots space. The facility will have two hotels: JW Marriot and Douglas, 517 rooms between both of them, eight restaurants as well as the city’s largest ballroom.
Parq Vancouver will be the largest private development in British Columbia. The Park, a sixth-floor 30,000 square foot outdoor space will feature 200 native pines and culinary options as well.
