New Hampshire sports betting revenue down 87% month-on-month in February
Sports betting revenue in New Hampshire amounted to $1m in February, the lowest monthly total since June 2020. The handle fell 28.7 per cent from January’s figures.
US.- February was the lowest month for New Hampshire sports wagering revenue since June 2020, when retail sportsbooks were closed due to the pandemic. The state saw revenue of $1m, 44.4 per cent lower than the $1.8m taken in February 2021, and 87.5 per cent lower than the record-breaking $8m taken in January this year.
In February, New Hampshire consumers wagered $70.9m on sports, an increase of 39 per cent from $51m in February 2021 but down 28.7 per cent from $99.5m in January. Mobile betting accounted for $59.1m, down 27.6 per cent from January’s $81.6m and 37.5 per cent from February 2021’s $42.9m. Retail sportsbooks accounted for $11.8m.
New Hampshire generated $458,353 in tax last month, down 88.2 per cent from January’s $3.9m and a decrease of 40.4 per cent year-on-year (February 2021: $769,387).
