Florida poker player arrested for allegedly running illegal sports betting
Devon Alexander Shalmi is accused of running Allgames365.com.
US.- Devon Alexander Shalmi, a 42-year-old poker player from Boca Raton, was arrested on September 8 in connection with the alleged operation of Allgames365.com. He faces charges of bookmaking, conspiracy to commit bookmaking, money laundering, conspiracy to engage in money laundering, concealment, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and running a gambling house.
Detectives say a confidential informant said Shalmi was distributing betting accounts, establishing credit limits, and collecting debts. Officers conducted 30 undercover operations and were given Allgames365.com accounts, which Shalmi is alleged to have handled over encrypted apps, including Telegram, with wins and losses settled through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, bank wires and cash.
More than $3m was allegedly traced to ILSJSF Solutions, a Boca Raton firm. Detectives also met Shalmi in person to swap cash, including at a pickleball club in Deerfield Beach and outside Seminole Coconut Creek Casino. The next hearing will be held on October 10.
