New Hampshire sports betting handle sets new monthly record in January

The state has reported a sports betting handle of $99.5m for the first month of 2022.

US.- New Hampshire set a new monthly sports betting handle record of $99.5m in January, according to figures released by the New Hampshire Lottery. The previous record was $98.1m, set in October 2021.

Player spending in January was 66.4 per cent higher than the $59.8m wagered in January 2021 and 15.2 per cent more than December’s $86.4m.

DraftKings’ mobile sportsbook took the majority of wagers, with players spending $81.6m online. The remaining $18m was wagered at the operator’s three retail betting facilities in New Hampshire.

Gaming revenue hit $8m, 90.5 per cent more than in the same month last year and 207.7 per cent more than in December. The figures surpassed the existing monthly record of $6.2m set in November. The state collected $3.9m in sports wagering tax.
