L’Auberge’s sportsbook opens in Louisiana

US.- With sports betting now legal in Louisiana, L’Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge has opened its new sportsbook. Former Louisiana State University (LSU) quarterback Rohan Davey placed the first official bet.
Davey is said to have made a three-team parlay, choosing the Kansas City Chiefs over the New York Giants Monday night, Houston Astros in Tuesday’s World Series game, and LSU to top Alabama Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
In November of 2020, 55 Louisiana parishes approved sports betting, but Hurricane Ida delayed the processing of applications from casinos. Four casinos in the state have received approval to offer sports betting from October 31.
The Louisiana Gaming Control Board issued its first four sports betting licences to Harrah’s in New Orleans, Boomtown Casino in Harvey, L’Auberge Baton Rouge and Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City.
Louisiana’s first legal sportsbook opened at the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville earlier this month.
