Irish gambling regulator signs MoU with Nevada Gaming Control Board
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between one of Europe’s newest gambling regulators and the world’s oldest.
Ireland.- The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). It’s the new regulator’s first such agreement with a peer in the US.
The GRAI’s first such agreement in the US establishes a framework for cooperation between one of Europe’s newest gambling regulators and the world’s oldest.
“With the recent commencement of licensing for online and remote betting services in Ireland, both authorities recognise the need for diligence in regulating and licensing online platforms where an increasing amount of gambling and betting takes place, often across borders,” the GRAI said.
Anne Marie Caulfield, CEO of the GRAI, added: “The knowledge and expertise that the Nevada Gaming Control Board has in terms of gambling regulation are very valuable to us in the GRAI.
