(Exclusive interview).- Jonathan Aiwazian, US Regional Director at BetConstruct, talked with Focus Gaming News ahead of ICE North America.
The first edition of ICE North America is just around the corner. The event takes place on May 13-15 in Boston, Massachusetts, and is set to become a referent of the gambling industry.
Naturally, industry giant BetConstruct will be part of this event and has already arranged meetings to keep expanding its reach in the region. Jonathan Aiwazian, US Regional Director at BetConstruct, talked with Focus Gaming News ahead of this event and discussed future opportunities.
Have you pre-arranged meetings for the first edition of ICE North America in order to further expand your offering in this specific territory?
Yes. With key decision makers in the industry all converging in Boston, we have scheduled several meetings to create synergistic relationships and propel our US offering forward.
What do you expect to accomplish during this new event in the United States? Will it help you expand your business in this market? How so?
We hope to attract new partners who are eager to jump into the sportsbook market, that need an experienced technology provider to help them navigate the waters of this exciting new vertical.
Every time a new market opens its doors to both the sports betting or online gambling industry, operators rush to be the first ones to offer their services. In that sense, the US is currently in a period of exponential growth, how does BetConstruct prepare for such event considering operators from all over the world are trying to be the leading company in these new segments?
There is always a rush when a new market opens up, but we see time and time again that the first-to-market is not always the winner in the market. We encourage our partners to create a clear roadmap, and will even sit down with them to develop an execution strategy to succeed in the market.

BetConstruct has recently entered into a relationship with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, in partnership with Atlantis Gaming Corporation in order to launch a premium fantasy sports experience in the US. As this software is fully customisable with reliable fantasy data, are you willing to accommodate your services to new partners if they wish to do so?
We pride ourselves on our ability to meet any client’s needs. Looking at the majority of our 300+ worldwide partners, we have offered very different solutions depending on what the market demands. State-by-state, people have different preferences that operators will need to be able to accommodate. We are very happy to be working alongside the Pro Football Hall of Fame to bring their brand to operators who want to be associated with one of the biggest names in the USA.

What can we expect from your booth at ICE North America? Will you present new products?
We will definitely bring some exciting products with us to Boston. Our software for retail sportsbook will be a huge draw for casinos who are in the planning stages of building out sportsbook venues on their casino floors. Again, our ability to customise will be on full display. We encourage everyone to stop by and see our software in action!
