Authorities in Quang Nam have predicted the province could receive 1.7 million foreign visitors this year.
Vietnam.- Quang Nam province hopes to attract 1.7 million foreign tourists and 4.2 million domestic tourists in 2022, according to the province’s tourism bureau. Authorities are planning several promotions in the coming months to attract tourists.
According to VN Express, in 2019, before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Nam province received 7.6 million tourists, half of them foreigners. Quang Nam is home to the Hoiana resort, an integrated resort with a foreigner-only casino. It’s one of the locations currently allowed to host international guests.
In February, authorities in Vietnam allowed the resumption of all pre-pandemic air routes. Visitors must present a negative Covid-19 test result issued within 72 hours prior to intended entry to the country, (children under two are exempt).
Visitors also need to make a health declaration. Unvaccinated or partially-vaccinated travellers need to monitor their health and take Covid-19 tests on the third and seventh day after entry.
