SkyCity Adelaide reopens after snap seven-day lockdown
SkyCity has reopened its Adelaide venue as the government of South Australia reports no new cases of Covid-19.
Australia.- SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited has announced that its Adelaide casino has been allowed to reopen.
It said physical distancing and hygiene requirements will remain in place in line with the Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions. Authorities have reported no new Covid-19 cases in South Australia.
SkyCity will release its FY2021 result on August 25. It expects to report normalised net operating profit after tax (NPAT) of between AU$84m and AU$88m and normalised EBITDA of between AU$247m and AU$253m.
Although the company continues to struggle with the lack of foreign tourists due to Covid-19 countermeasures, SkyCity has benefitted from domestic tourism, particularly on the weekend and holidays.
SkyCity is one of the casino operators being investigated by the AUSTRAC due to potential non-compliance with AML rules.
