Eligible non-senior management full-time team members will receive a bonus salary on January 17.

Macau.- Sands China has announced that it will give a bonus equivalent to one month’s salary to more than 25,000 eligible non-senior management full-time team members on January 17, 2022. The company said 99 per cent of its employees have benefited from discretionary allowances or other incentive schemes and that it was the first Macau casino operator to announce it would still provide its usual year-end bonus.

Despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic since the beginning of 2020, all local gaming franchises have decided to continue to pay discretionary bonuses to their non-management staff.

Wilfred Wong Ying Wai, president of Sands China said: “This year was another challenging one, not just for Macao, but for the whole world.

“Despite its challenges, our team members came together to successfully launch The Londoner Macao against the backdrop of an ongoing pandemic.”

He continued: “Since the start of the pandemic, our team members have demonstrated their care for the community by taking the initiative to get vaccinated, by volunteering to support our 24-hour Nucleic Acid Testing station during two community-wide mandatory testing drives, and by providing hotel services for medical observation, among so much more.”

Sands China recognised by Dow Jones Sustainability Index

The casino operator has become the first to be recognised by the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index.
