PointsBet hails Australia sports return

Australia’s National Rugby League (NRL) will return tomorrow (May 28), while the Australian Football League (AFL) will return on June 11.

Australia.- PointsBet, the Australian sports betting operator, has welcomed the news of the upcoming return of sport in the country.

In a statement, PointsBet said: “The recommencement of NRL and AFL will see the breadth of PointsBet’s product offering expand in Australia, with clients being able to wager on both racing and major sports.”

While live sport still continued in a limited format across the globe, PointsBet recorded consecutive record monthly earnings for February and March this year.

The operator generated AUD$18.2 million in revenue for the period between April 1 to May 25.

Across the Pacific, New Zealand’s RITA announced yesterday that it would cut 230 jobs at the Totalisator Agency Board (TAB).
