Mohegan’s Inspire resort deadline extended
Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has applied for a six-month delay to the agreed June 2022 opening date for its Incheon IR project.
South Korea.- The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism has approved Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment‘s request for a six-month delay to the opening of its Incheon integrated resort, Inspire Korea.
Inspire Korea is now likely to open in the first half of 2023 instead of the original date of June 2022.
The company has also received approval to develop an outdoor theme park, where the group intends to incorporate sustainable development.
Andrew Billany, CEO of Inspire Korea, said the company plans to normalise the resort’s construction shortly and fully dedicate efforts to securing financing.
Inspire Korea Casino Resort is expected to include 150 gaming tables, 700 electronic gaming machines, close to 1,250 hotel rooms, a 15,000-seat arena and a 19,000-square metre conference space.
The announcement comes a few weeks after the nearby Midan City Resort Complex was granted a 12-month extension to its construction deadline.
