Authorities in Macau have recently imposed a 14-day quarantine on visitors from four Chinese provinces.

Macau.- After announcing quarantine measures for arrivals from Nanjing, the government of Macau has announced it will take similar measures for visitors from the provinces of Jiangsu, Yunnan, Liaoning and Sichuan.

The decision was taken after a rise in Covid-19 cases. Authorities said visitors must undergo self-health management and must provide three consecutive negative tests to gain a green health code. Holders whose Macao Health Code is red or yellow cannot enter casinos or other venues.

The Macau government previously announced that it will update its health code. Visitors from mainland China will have to provide new information on vaccination status and whether people have previously contracted Covid-19.

Mainland China continues to be the only country to have a largely quarantine-free travel bubble with Macau.

Despite the rise of Covid-19 cases in different cities, Macau said it will not change its current rules for those coming from Guangdong.

As regards casinos, People must wear masks and have their temperature checked. Other venues covered by the countermeasure include hotels and guest houses, restaurants, bars, karaoke lounges, nightclubs, saunas, massage parlours and health clubs.
