Macau: mask order extended for casino staff
All casino workers will have to use a mandatory health mask until at least March 2021.
Macau.- A new Health Bureau order has extended the mandatory use of health masks in casinos for another six months, according to information published in the Official Gazette.
The order was first imposed on January 22 as part of Covid-19 prevention measures. It will now be enforced until at least March 22, 2021.
Despite Macau having apparently controlled the spread of the virus, the loosening of border restrictions will be accompanied by strict measures in casinos to prevent a second wave of infections.
Macau is hoping for an increase in visitors for the Golden Week holiday from October 1 to 8.
However, anyone who intends to enter local casinos will be required to provide a nucleic acid test certificate proving they are free from Covid-19, undergo a temperature check, and present a green Health Code.
