Macau: arrivals climb during Golden Week
The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has reported an increase in the numbers of visitors on Sunday and Monday.
Macau.- The fourth and fifth days of Golden Week have seen visitor numbers climb in Macau.
According to data published by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), 8,747 visitors were reported on Sunday and 21,500 on Monday, the 5th day of this year’s Golden Week holiday.
In total, some 98,592 visitor arrivals were registered over the first five days of the October 1 to 8 holiday.
All the same, Macau’s visitor arrivals reached over 980,000 during the entire Golden Week holiday last year. The first three days of the holiday this year saw a decrease of around 87 per cent year-on-year.
However, the data provided by the Public Security Police Force (CPSP) for the 2020 season does not include other non-residents such as workers or students.
