Kangwon Land extends Coronavirus closure

Casino operator has also revised its projected loss for the shut-down period to KRW22 billion

South Korea.- Kangwon Land, the only casino in South Korea where locals are permitted to gamble, will remain closed until February 29 due to Coronavirus

The casino operator originally closed on Sunday and then extended the closure to Wednesday, February 26. The casino has now confirmed it will remain shut until Saturday.

South Korea is one of the most affected countries by Covid-19. Eleven people have died from the outbreak and more than 1,500 have been infected with the virus.
