Delta Corp to launch new floating casino in Goa in 2022
The company is building a new offshore casino for Goa’s Mandovi River.
India.- Delta Corp has announced that hopes to have a new casino ship ready to replace the Deltin Caravela in mid-2022.
The vessel will cost approximately Rs150 crore (US$20.5m). Delta said it hoped the new floating casino would generate more revenue than its other two ships, Deltin Jacq and Deltin Royale, combined.
Delta Corp’s Chief Financial Officer Hardik Dhebar said: “We started building that vessel some time ago and we believe that in the next 12 to 18 months we should have a brand new vessel indigenously built in the river.”
The company recently announced plans to develop India’s first IR casino complex in Pernem, Goa.
Delta Corp is looking at a Rs1,000 crore (US$135m) to Rs1,500 crore (US$204m) investment over the next five years with other firms as partners in the retail, waterpark and entertainment sector.
