The partnership aims to engage Werder Bremen fans in Asia with online betting app 188Bet.
Asia.- Online gambling operator 188Bet has entered a two-year partnership with Bundesliga football club Werder Bremen.
188Bet, which has a strong presence in Asia, will work with the German football club to engage fans in the continent, creating digital content featuring the club’s crest, players and the team’s Weserstadion home ground.
The 188Bet logo will also feature on the sleeves of Werder Bremen players’ shirts during Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal cup matches.
188Bet managing director Nigel Singer commented: “At 188Bet, we recognise the importance of football to our customers, in particular interest in the Bundesliga. Over the next two years, 188Bet looks forward to a successful partnership with Werder Bremen.”
Werder Bremen chief executive, Klaus Filbry, added: “188Bet are a well-established and forward thinking company, which is an important addition to our partnership roster.
“They are an exciting brand that aims to bring together the sports betting audience in Asia and we are tremendously proud to be part of this journey.”
Meanwhile, The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) reported 61 cases of suspicious betting on football internationally in 2020, with 10 of the alerts coming from Vietnam.
