LONAGUI places cybersecurity and AI at centre of Guinea lottery modernisation drive
Guinea’s national lottery operator signals stronger focus on digital resilience, data protection and technology infrastructure.
Guinea.- The National Lottery of Guinea (LONAGUI) has placed cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) and data protection at the heart of its lottery modernisation strategy, signalling a sharper technology and governance focus as African lotteries accelerate digital transformation efforts.
In a statement issued after the recent African Lotteries Association (ALA) seminar and general assembly in Dakar, LONAGUI said discussions focused on the “development and innovation of African lotteries”.
The operator outlined a range of strategic priorities tied to the evolution of its lottery infrastructure, including artificial intelligence integration, cybersecurity strengthening, data protection, operational traceability, transparency measures and broader system modernisation.
The statement positions cybersecurity and AI as central pillars of LONAGUI’s long-term transformation plans, as regulated lottery operators place increasing emphasis on secure digital systems and compliance-driven technology infrastructure.
LONAGUI said the discussions in Dakar “reflected a continental dynamic of innovation and digital transformation in African lotteries”, with stakeholders examining how technology can support operational efficiency, governance standards and sector sustainability.
The operator also described its participation in the Dakar gathering as part of its commitment to aligning with evolving international standards and strengthening operational modernisation efforts within Guinea’s lottery sector.
The ALA event brought together lottery stakeholders from across the continent to discuss technological innovation, operational development and the future direction of regulated lottery ecosystems in Africa.
