PMU Mali marks 32 years as technology drive gathers pace
PMU Mali’s 32nd anniversary highlighted the operationalisation of its ALR platform, known as PMUBA, as director general Fassery Doumbia stressed technology and unity.
Mali.- Mali’s betting and lottery operator, Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU Mali), has marked 32 years in the country’s betting market, with director general Fassery Doumbia highlighting collective effort and the operationalisation of its PMUBA platform as a key development in 2026.
The anniversary was marked on September 1 at PMU Mali’s headquarters in Bamako, bringing together Doumbia, members of the management committee, various stakeholders, trade-union representatives, retailers, employees and partners, according to a PMU Mali statement.
PMU Mali’s described the celebrations as “32 years of activity serving the development of the company”, with the occasion marked by a symbolic anniversary cake-cutting.
Doumbia highlighted the ALR platform, known as PMUBA, which became operational in 2026 and allows bettors to place horse-racing bets before the race begins. He described it as one of PMU Mali’s major developments and an important step in the operator’s development and efforts to gain greater control over its technology.
Doumbia also used the occasion to recognise the contribution of employees to PMU Mali’s performance. “The results obtained are not those of the Director General alone, but those of the efforts of an entire team,” said Doumbia, according to Maliweb.
He called on employees to maintain unity and cohesion as PMU Mali faces future challenges and works towards its objectives.
