Burkina Faso’s lottery reports stronger August sales execution as it prepares for the UEMOA Masse Commune.
Burkina Faso.- Burkina Faso’s National Lottery (LONAB) has reported a 9 per cent year-on-year progression in its sales execution rate, as the operator prepares for upcoming regional lottery activity.
The update was given during LONAB’s monthly national-colours ceremony at its headquarters, where Aymar Tiendrebeogo, technical adviser serving as interim director-general, outlined the operator’s commercial performance and priorities for the coming weeks, according to a LONAB statement. According to figures presented by LONAB, the rate of sales execution progressed by 9 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Tiendrebeogo said the results “reflect the commitment and professionalism of all those who work daily to promote the institution,” while encouraging staff to maintain the momentum.
LONAB is also preparing for the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) Masse Commune, scheduled for early September, as part of its ongoing lottery activities.
The latest update builds on LONAB’s strong first-half performance, with the operator having achieved 102 per cent of its H1 target. The August results provide a further indication of the lottery’s commercial momentum as it moves through the second half of the year.
The ceremony also addressed outstanding social-liability documentation, with staff called on to complete and sign the remaining conciliation documents so that the process can be closed.
The latest figures add to the picture of continued commercial momentum at LONAB, following its strong first-half performance and ahead of its mid-year review and upcoming UEMOA activity.
