We-Ko-Pa Casino and Betfred Sports launch retail sportsbook in Arizona
The sportsbook will be open seven days a week.
US.- The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation’s We-Ko-Pa Casino resort in Arizona has launched a retail sportsbook with Betfred Sports. The new sportsbook features a Planar 4K direct view LED video wall that can display up to 12 live games, a cashier stand with four wagering terminals and strategically-located betting kiosks.
The sportsbook will be open seven days a week with snacks and refreshments available via WKP, a full-service sports bar.
Kirk Brumbaugh, table games director for the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort said: “We took our time in creating our new Sportsbook because we wanted to learn from those that came before us, maximise existing resources, and leverage the latest electronic advancements so we could take our facility to the next level of gaming excellence.”
Chief operating officer of Betfred USA Sports, Bryan Bennett, added: “We’re excited to increase our presence in Arizona in partnership with the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and WKP Sportsbook. As a team, we set out early to create one of the best game-watching and betting experiences in the state, and we’re confident we’ve accomplished that goal.”
In March, the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Betfred Sports announced that mobile sports betting was available in Arizona after a soft launch in January. The Betfred Sports-branded apps allow wagering on any device within the state on college and professional sporting events with straight bets, in-play wagering, parlays, and teasers.
Betfred recently launched a new sportsbook at the Silver Reef Casino Resort in Washington State, in partnership with the Lummi Nation. The sportsbook is located in the space that was occupied by the Portage Bay Bar. It includes several high-resolution video walls, sportsbook seating, multiple betting stations, and self-serve kiosks.
