Vermont sports betting handle increases year-over-year in February
The sports betting handle totalled $21.5m, up 1.4 per cent year-over-year.
US.- Vermont’s sports betting handle was $21.5m in February, up 1.4 per cent year-over-year and down 11 per cent from January. Adjusted gross wagering revenue was $2.1m, and winnings totalled $19.1m.
According to the state’s Department for Liquor and Lottery, basketball generated $7.6m in bets, soccer $3.2m, tennis $3.1m, football $1.3m and ebasketball $535.553. Of the total handle, $13.1m was wagered in Vermont and $8.4m out of state. There were 31,030 active users in February, 15,403 in the state, and 15.627 out of state. The total number of bets reached 670,832, 498,859 in Vermont and 171,973 out-of-state.
Vermont’s online sports betting market opened in January 2024, with DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics Sportsbook operating mobile sports wagering platforms in the state. Governor Phil Scott signed HB 127 into law in June 2023.
