Virginia sports betting handle reaches $556.8m in February

US.- The Virginia Lottery has released its report on sports wagering activity for February. The handle was $556.8m, up 2.2 per cent year-over-year but down 24.5 per cent from January. Bettors won $490m, leaving a combined operator win percentage of 12 per cent.

Fourteen mobile operators and three casinos are authorised to accept wagers in the state. Ten operators reported net positive AGR for February, leading to $9.3m in tax payments.

Meanwhile, Gaming revenue at casinos in February totalled $75.1m, beating the previous record of $74.9m set in December. Slot revenue reached $55.4m, while table games revenue was $19.7m. The state collected $13.5m in taxes.
