Two Maryland casinos approved for sports betting
The MLGCC has cleared Hollywood Casino in Perryville and Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin.
US.- The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission (MLGCC) has cleared Hollywood Casino in Perryville, and Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin for sports betting. It has forwarded its recommendation to the final stage.
The two casinos join MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel and Baltimore’s Horseshoe casino, which received Lottery and Gaming approval earlier this month.
Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. said: “No one is pushing harder than I am to get sports betting up and running here in the State of Maryland. Our administration has now cleared five licenses for sports betting, implementing the referendum approved by voters and the law passed by the General Assembly.”
Although voters in Maryland approved sports betting last year, it might not launch until the end of the year.
